SALT LAKE CITY, UT — MuseGlobal Inc. is pleased to announce that Frank Bilotto has filled the newly-created position of Vice-President, Publishing and Digital Media. In his former position as head of publishing at Vivisimo, Bilotto introduced the company's clustering technology to online and Internet publishers and aggregators, which has been critical to Vivisimo's growth since 2004. Bilotto also developed several key relationships with library marketplace notables such as Serial Solutions, Swets, ExLibris, and Stanford Highwire Press. A member of many industry associations, he currently serves as Secretary on the executive committee of ASIDIC, and is the program chair for the organization's 2006 fall meeting in Newport Beach, California.
Early in his career, Bilotto (JD Univ of Pittsburgh '93) served as counsel to the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, then moved on to Thomson/Dialog as the senior director of content licensing where he managed the intellectual property news and business information segments. Prior to joining Vivisimo, Bilotto acted as VP of business and legal affairs for Zoom Culture, a television production company specializing in reality TV. He is a frequent speaker at technology and e-content conferences.
"It is inspiring to join a company that not only has the reputation as the premier meta search (federated search) provider, but also has the staff and the infrastructure to support the growth that we are projecting," states Bilotto. "With recent advancements in interface and content navigation technologies, MuseGlobal is positioned to provide complete solutions to online publishers and ecommerce sites." MuseGlobal CEO Kate Noerr relates how Bilotto's experience and reach in multimedia markets will maximize its lead position and grow the customer base. "Frank's background is a great fit with our technology and applications, and we're looking forward to expanding our ecommerce capabilities," she adds. "We are delighted to have him on the MuseGlobal team."
